Nuclear Missile Base Tour
The Missile Base was part of the Soviet nuclear army (called Strategic Missile Forces Headquarters) and was aiming huge rockets on the Western countries.
The place was home to the SS-18 Satan missiles. These huge weapons could bring a nuclear warhead to 16 000 km far coordinates with only 200 meters accuracy while traveling at 7,9 km per second. With size of 32,2 meters and weight of 207 tones their size is gigantesque.
The tour starts with pickup from your Kiev address and the actual tour requires you to walk through plenty of stairs, so you should be in normal physical conditions. As the venue is pretty far from Kiev, this is typically a full-day program.
